A staunch group of gnomes who are all work and no play. They dwell in intricate underground networks, often organized around a single industry.
A small percentage of gnomes who are born with magical, plant-growing abilities. Possessing a natural flair for quirkiness, their presence can be unwelcome in more rigid communities.
Often too large and boisterous to maintain peace with their own kind, small clans occupy entire mountains. Gone are the days of waging constant war. Instead, they work out old conflicts with an annual game of their brutal and beloved sport, rubbledash.
A gentle mole domesticated and bred by Tunnel Gnomes to suit their everyday needs. On occasion their sturdy claws are used for tunnel construction, but they’re mostly prized for their long, wiry hair, which is spun into wool.
Large, glowing bugs that illuminate The Tunnels at night. They’re the closest things to stars that most tunnel gnomes will ever see—if star-gazing were something even remotely interesting to them.
A nasty, carnivorous fish found in rivers that will eat just about anything that moves.
A bulbous, slimy amphibian from Fungi Forest that hunts for prey in packs. They grow as large as their environment allows, and with so few natural predators, they can become a real nuisance.
